Amazon shipped it here fast and in one piece. This coffee maker is by far better than Mr. The box it came in actually had Target on it. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a red one. Coffee. It does not leak and the coffee is made quickly and hot.
Much to my disappointment, it is fuchsia or pink. The coffee is fine, nothing special, but it works. Seems like everyone in the nation sold out.
I am highly disappointed in color description and the way it appears online as it is deceiving. it perks fairly fast, not allowing much time to really absorb the coffee bean richness. If you want a red coffee pot, order something else.
I have wanted a red coffee pot since Christmas. By the time I send it back and pay for shipping and pay for shipping for another one, I feel as though it becomes pointless and a waist.
I was excited to order a red coffee pot online. It is not red at all.
I love the red color too so it watches my kitchen. I love this maker, its so easy to use and it doesn't drip.
My first KitchenAid croaked after 3 weeks (the electronics/clock failed) so they sent me a replacement that was forever leaking if the carafe wasn't positioned exactly right. I suspect that'll be a good investment that will prolong the life of the unit. Half the price and the coffee tastes much better.
(The word I'd use is "crisper", if that makes any sense). Hamilton Beach says it also improves the coffee flavor. I have very hard water so I've ordered the optional water filter kit.
This replaces my $99 KitchenAid Empire Red coffee maker and what an improvement. I kind of miss the KitchenAid's bright red digital display of the clock (this unit has black numbers on a gray background) but, other than that, it's easy to set the clock and the turn-on time, brew time is comparable, the auto shut-off feature is a must for me, and I can't get over how much better the coffee tastes. if so I'll probably explode :-)
(The red's about the same too so it matches my KitchenAid toaster). Then a couple weeks ago I started getting a lot of grounds in my coffee and coffee all over the counter so I checked Consumer Reports and the reviews out here and settled on the Hamilton Beach Ensemble.
It makes good coffee and is easy to use. This cover has closed up holes, so the pegs on the pot have to bend some before the pegs will slide into the holes on the lid.
I'm not sure how loose it will be when the second peg falls off. Well, it didn't take long (3 weeks) for one the pegs to fall off.
I bought this coffee pot because it's supposed to be quiet. Most coffee pot lids snap onto two pegs on the pot.
It's too bad to have such a goofy lid attachment scheme on an otherwise great coffee pot. Believe me it is.
My only gripe is the lid.
